One thing I have learned all too well in the past few years is if you need help you have to be brave enough to ask. This is my attempt at being brave. My nephew, Ryan Hack, suffered a catastrophic, life changing accident at his work place. Ryan is a self-employed drywall installer and while installing drywall at a new build home the staircase he was working on collapsed. Not only did the staircase crumble, so did Ryan’s legs. Both ankles shattered and the bones in his lower left leg broken. Like all of us Ryan has day to day expenses but as he is self employed his income has ceased and he has no access to benefits. Ryan also contributes to the support of his 15 year old daughter. After surgery Ryan will be spending 6+ weeks in a convalescent facility while he recovers. All I am asking for is minimal support to see Ryan through this challenging circumstance.
