Aileen Tang-Lee, 63, and Ryan Lee, 65, tragically passed away in a car accident driving through the mountains in British Columbia on July 22, 2019. They were on a camping holiday in their beloved camper van.
Ryan and Aileen both immigrated to Canada in 1982 to find a better life for themselves and their families. It was a treacherous journey for these refugees to find a new home. They risked everything they had for the hopes of a better life for their future generations. In this scary time, as they fled for safety, they also felt a sense of excitement for a new adventure. They met each other during their travels. After they reconnected, they soon married and started their family. They were parents to William, Jessica, and Veronica. Their purpose now became to give their children all the opportunities they never had and to give them everything they possibly could. They found joy in loving and providing for their kids. Their grand kids, thus far, are their dogs Coco, Pancho, Charlie, and Pelo.
Aileen spent most of her time as a full-time mom, wife, and home maker. She spent her time raising her kids and it was what she enjoyed most. Her happiness came from being in service to her family and providing her children happiness. She was a loving soul that was a nurturer by nature. Her beautiful, lush garden is an amazing testament of her ability to care for living creatures. In her later years, she spent her work life working with people as that is what she truly took joy in. Aileen was always known to be happy and smiling all the time. Her soul was adventurous, and she was always excited to try new things.
Ryan was a hardworking, dedicated man. His life purpose was to provide for his family in any way that he could. He always put the needs of others before his own. No matter what was required of him, he would always give over and above. He was a strong, loving father and husband that protected his family. Ryan had the answer to every question, because if he did not know it, he would figure it out. He used resourcefulness to build his life. His business savvy skills allowed him to create a thriving company, along with several other successful endeavors, from absolutely nothing.
Ryan just recently retired a few months earlier and Aileen was retiring soon. They were ready to embark on the next chapter of their lives where they were free to enjoy their life and time.
We are grateful for the time we had with them and we know that it would have never been enough time. It saddens us that our time with them has come to an end. We rejoice in the happy memories that we have been blessed to shared with them. They were happy, loving people that have touched so many lives. The lessons they have taught us all has impacted us all in life shaping ways. Please join us in sharing stories and celebrating their memory.
