In April 2026, I’ll be running the Manchester Marathon in memory of someone who meant the world to me – James Lee Williams, also known as The Vivienne. Known to many as a dazzling performer and fierce advocate, James was also a passionate supporter of Sahir House.
Sahir House is a Merseyside-based charity that has been a lifeline for people living with HIV and the wider LGBTQ+ community for over 35 years. James didn’t just lend his voice to their mission - he gave his heart. His commitment to ending stigma, promoting equality, and supporting those most in need was unwavering. Now, I want to honour that legacy.
Every mile I run is for James and the causes he championed. Every donation goes directly to Sahir House, helping to fund their vital work – from education and advocacy to direct support services.
Whether you knew James personally, or admired his work performing as The Vivienne, or simply believe in equality and compassion, it would mean the world if you could please consider supporting this fundraiser. Let’s continue the work James cared so deeply about.
The donation link is in my bio – and no matter how big or small your donation is, you're helping Sahir House and their powerful mission.
Thank you for helping me carry his light forward.
