Just a few days after Ryan turned 40, he went into the emergency room as he was experiencing a persistent headache, dizziness and acute visual changes. A CT scan of his head found a mass in his brain. Less than 24 hours later, Ryan underwent a craniotomy to resect the brain mass. He was in the ICU for several days prior to being discharged home.
Unfortunately, the preliminary pathology of the mass revealed it was an aggressive form of malignant brain cancer. Currently, Ryan is at home healing and gearing up for a long fight ahead.
Ryan will undergo a second surgery and begin a treatment plan based on what his doctor/medical team suggest. Everyone is optimistic and believe Ryan will have a long life ahead of him.
From the entire family- thank you so much for your generosity, support and kindness through this difficult time.
