Ryan Macy was diagnosed with congestive heart failure last year. He battled many complications over the last year. Most recently he spent over a month in the hospital in Little Rock. He was fighting a staph infection which affected his kidney function. He began dialysis and was able to come home for a short period of time last week. Sadly he became septic and dialysis was no longer working and he was admitted back into the hospital in Little Rock. Ryan was surrounded by family and a few close friends that over the years became like family. God called him home in the early hours Tuesday, June 26th. When Ryan was first diagnosed he was devastated that he could no longer play the game that he loved as his heart couldn't take it anymore. He loved being a Wolverine, he loved the game and he loved his team. Ryan was well loved by many, He brought love, light and smiles to those that knew him. Ryan, Macy, Big Macy was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend and teammate. He had the best smile and laugh. Ryan's family spent many weeks and months taking him to his appointments. His mom was always with him during his hospital stays and they spent many weeks in Little Rock when he would be transferred to the hospital there. His Dad, sister and grandma would drive to see him several times during each out of town admission. As you can imagine this meant many days, weeks and months of missed work income as well as the added travel expenses. With his passing the family is asking for financial assistance to cover the costs of funeral expenses as well as the cost to pay for addition bills and living expenses that they have incurred over the past year. It is not easy to have to ask for help but we need it. Your thoughts and prayers are always appreciated and anything that you can contribute we are beyond grateful for. Celebration of Life information will be shared as soon as it is known.
