Ryan Jacobs Memorial Fund
I’m absolutely devastated to write that Ryan Jacobs passed away suddenly at his home early February 4th. He is survived by his wife Lindsay and 1 year old daughter Addison.
Jacobs(in nearly 14 years I don’t think I ever called him “Ryan”) was the epitome of a great guy. Myself and many others had the pleasure of working with him during his 14 year tenure at the Cheesecake Factory. In my 13 1/2 years I was fortunate enough to know and be friends with Jacobs, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen someone so universally loved. He was a great coworker and friend, always good for a laugh, and obscenely well versed and passionate about everything sports related. If you needed to kill sometime, just say the word “Golf” and he’d bend your ear for an hour.
Family, friends, and coworkers past and present are all struggling to process his unexpected passing, but none more so than Lindsay and Addie. Those girls were his entire world. I’m asking anyone who is able, to step up, help out, and let’s do everything we can to make sure his ladies are taken care of.
Cheesecake, I’m leaning hardest on you guys here. A huge portion of Ryan’s life was spent within the walls of one CCF or another, touching countless lives, making hundreds of friends, and constantly walking a lap of the restaurant when he didn’t quite know what else to do with himself. We may be completely dysfunctional, but we are a family. Time to get to work. Let’s make this happen. He loved you all immensely. I’m gonna need a big “Cheesecake Rocks” here guys.
Cash and Venmo donations are also being accepted. Please contact myself (Kevin Lewis [phone redacted]) or Carolyn McCarty(215-595-7551) at Cheesecake Factory Willow Grove with any questions, or any additional ways you’d like to help.
100% of all proceeds are being funneled straight into an account that only Lindsay can access.
