Ryan Herbst Recovering from heart failure

Donation protected
If you know Ryan, you know he’d be first in line to personally move a mountain for just about anyone, he's kind, helpful, resourceful, all the things you'd expect of an Army Veteran, (his medical bills are covered from that I'm told) In recent years, he may have handed you a beer at the Umbrella Bar at Canyons Village, or showed up to your aunts house to help her with some odds and ends around the house. Ryan suddenly and unexpectedly had significant heart failure after taking his mom and brother Scotty out to a movie on November 3rd causing complete organ failure for 8+hours in the Phoenix, Arizona area. He was life flighted to the nearest cardiothoracic facility, Saint Joseph Dignity Hospital. He has undergone 4 surgeries thus far. ****Update from Scotty (brother): Ryan is currently heading into surgery to get him off the ECMO machine! He's looking at another surgery tomorrow, so trending well to get off the machines and operating at peak performance! Or at least operating without help breathing and keeping his ticker ticking.
***Update Nov. 11, Ryan is still on a ventilator, but is conscious for the first time since November 3rd!!! Still working through some issues, but trending in the right direction. He will need to be sedated for the 7th time (if we're still keeping count) to get the ventilator out when that time comes. He is aware of his brother Scotty being there, he's mostly aware of his situation... Ryan is on and will continue to be on full dialysis indefinitely.
****Update November 16, Ry is not only off the ventilator, but it sounds like he's leaving the ICU in the very near future, if not already and heading for a long term care facility, covered by the VA, so while he's doing EXTREMELY well, he's not home just yet! Amazing progress the last few days. His brother Scotty explained to him all what happened and Ryan was clearly overwhelmed at the severity of the terrifying situation, but also seemed grateful to be awake and talking! More updates to follow!
****Update November 27, Ryan is mostly functional, fully our Ryan, regaining mobility and beginning to use the funds as soon as we get the transfer set up! He’s thankful, bewildered and ready to get back home!
Once off the machines and out of medical care, that's when he's going to need our support, to come return home to Park City and restart, please consider donating so he can get back on his feet!

***Also to be noted, if he knew we were doing this and was able, he'd be standing at my front door ready to wrestle my laptop outta my hands and whoop my ass!!!!
