Ryan & Hailey's road to recovery

We’re reaching out with heavy hearts and an urgent request for support.

Recently, our beloved Ryan (Age 29) was involved in a tragic accident while visiting Tampa, Florida. The injuries sustained were severe and life-threatening — including multiple brain surgeries, traumatic head injuries, and ongoing neurological complications. This has turned their life completely upside down.

Ryan is currently stuck in the U.S., undergoing intense medical treatment far from the familiarity and support system of home. The road to recovery is long and uncertain, but the immediate need is clear: they need help.

His wife Hailey Grasdahl, and family have dropped everything to be by his side and are now navigating this nightmare in the U.S. They are not only facing the emotional trauma of nearly losing her husband, their son, brother, and so much more, but also the crushing financial burden that will likely last for years to come.

Why We’re Asking for Your Help

As a Canadian citizen, Ryan is facing enormous medical bills in the U.S., most of which are not covered by insurance or provincial healthcare. In addition to ongoing hospital expenses, there are costs for specialists, rehabilitation, medications, and eventual transport back to Canada.

On top of that, Ryan still has a mortgage, bills, and financial responsibilities in Canada — obligations they can’t begin to meet while he is unconscious, in recovery, & under constant medical care.

The financial burden is overwhelming. That’s why we are asking for your help.
