Ryan Douglas Gilleland passed away on the 28th of June, 2018, age 43. Ryan was born in Albuquerque, spent much of his life in California, and resettled in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, where he found happiness with his wife Susan.
Ryan found stability in Truth or Consequences through tending to his beloved animals and his garden. Ryan also loved the ocean and loved to surf and skateboard. In his youth, he was an active member of the skate and punk rock scene. He loved music and playing in a band. He was a forward thinker and an influence to many. In the words of a childhood friend, he was so memorable because he was simply “never anything but himself.”
This is a challenging time for Ryan's family, but they are content knowing that he is at peace. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the upkeep of Ryan’s garden and animals in his memory.
