Ryan Francis Townsville Boy
For those of you who don’t know, my good mate Ryan Francis was rushed to hospital for emergency Open Heart Surgery after feeling sick one morning at work 3 weeks ago. It was a big shock to all of us and the Doctors said that Ryan was within 4 minutes of losing his life had the ambulance and his family not acted so quickly that day! Ryan is only 26 years old. He is Townville born and went to Ignatius Park College.
Ryan was in surgery for over 6 hours. He suffered a stroke during open heart surgery, then while in an induced coma he had a seizure. The hospital kept Ryan in the induced coma in ICU for two weeks. While yes, these are major setbacks, now with Brain Trauma being his main battle, we all remain positive and take it one day at a time with his recovery.
Ryan is ready to start a rehab which is going to be a very long slow road to recovery just taking it one day at a time and we all know Ryan is a fighter.

We want to give him the best chance of recovery and see him return to his old self. He will need financial aid with, nurses, physio, speech therapy, learn how to walk and talk again and eventually possibly home nurse visits and care. This is where we need your help. If you can please donate towards Ryan’s recovery, any amount big or small will make all the difference.
Ryan has a long road ahead of him but with his family by his side providing constant support Kenny, Minnie, his brothers, his girlfriend Emily and all of his friends, we know Ryan has support and love from everyone around him.
