Ryan Cravens MS and Heart Surgery Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Those who know Ryan & Julie Cravens know that they are inspiring examples of kind & tender hearted humans. For unknown reasons, sometimes bad things happen to good people. The setbacks they’ve been dealt in the past 6 months are almost unbelievable, and they are going to need their village to help get them through it, both emotionally and financially.
This past December Ryan had a partially numb face. After a series of tests, he was diagnosed with MS. His neurologist wanted him to see an internal medicine doctor, and that doctor decided Ryan needed a very thorough physical.
After an echo-cardiogram, it was determined he had a bad aortic valve and was near heart failure.
After more tests, searching for a surgeon, etc. he was scheduled for open heart surgery early this month. During his recovery in ICU and after a few setbacks, they did more testing and found that he has a hole in the septum of his heart that will need repair in a follow-up surgery.
We know it will take Ryan several months to fully recover from heart surgery, at which point he will continue his battle with MS. Although they do have insurance to cover a good portion of the medical bills and Ryan is determined to get back to work, it’s going to take time before he is physically able to swing a hammer. This fund is being set up to help alleviate some of their financial stress and allow him to focus on getting healthy.
Thank you all for your prayers. They have been felt.
