Ryan Brewsaugh Medical Costs

Ryan was in a very serious accident that occurred during baseball practice while pitching batting practice to his team. Ryan has atleast 6 fractures. Orbital & cheek bones are completely smashed while other bones & nerves are compressed and moved inches out of place. He will need atleast 2 plates and possibly a 3rd. They will go through his mouth to place a plate in the lower cheek area, the corner of his eye (right out side of it, temple area) for the other plate and if the 3rd plate is needed (which can't be determined til surgery) would be through his eyelid. He will be out for 7-10 days immediately after surgery and no activity for awhile. He currently has no feeling whatsoever on the right side of his face or in either lip due to the nerve being stretched and compressed. He cannot open his mouth very much at all due to other bones compressing his jaw area. Doc seems to think he will eventually over 8 weeks (maybe) regain feeling in his face & be able to open his mouth normally again. There could possibly be a 2nd surgery for his nasal cavity if needed and potential eye drooping but we are focused on the first surgery and will reevaluate
Ryan is scheduled for surgery next week.
