Hello everyone, my name is Ashlynn Pate. I am Ryan’s cousin, but he was more like a best friend or brother to me. I’m sure many other people can say the same.
Ryan Brent Pate was unexpectedly taken from us on May 2, 2022. It was a tragedy that left us all shocked. It’s been an emotional rollercoaster for everyone since that day.
Ryan was loved by the whole world it seems. His ability to make people feel special was unmatched. Anyone who knows him knows that he was all about living in the moment and enjoying the present. He loved life and saw the positives to any situation. I have heard countless stories of people meeting him for the first time and they all have multiple similarities, the main one being, “He treated me like family. Like we had known each other for years.” That was always followed up by a description of his one-of-a-kind bear hugs and infectious laugh. Hearing how many lives he impacted with his genuine spirit has filled our hearts up. He was an irreplaceable soul that none of us were ready to live without.
