Ryan Banet Education Fund
Donation protected
Tania Banet, our dear friend, valiantly fought cancer for over 3 years before she passed away this week, a couple of days after her son Ryan's 17th birthday. Tania was selfless, loving, caring, and serving of others. Tania and Ryan were inseparable. They shared a special connection with baseball. She never missed a game and even as she struggled through chemo treatments, she worked the concession stands regularly until the last few months. She was always supportive of Ryan's passions and talents.
Tania fought for every possible minute to see Ryan graduate from high school and pursue his college dreams. Ryan is a rising senior in high school. He plans to attend college, works hard at his studies and is also working toward playing baseball at college as well. The coaches and families of his 2 teams, the RL Turner High School Lions and the Tigers Select Baseball Team are all working diligently to give Ryan the best opportunity to play ball and attend college.
In many conversations with sweet Tania, she was so excited about the possibility of Ryan going to college and being the first member of their family to do so. She asked us to help support and encourage him. Her wish was that people not spend money on flowers upon her death, but rather donate any money they could to help Ryan be able to further his education. We committed to her before she passed that we would set up a fund for this and share this information with all friends and family.
Dana Blankenship and Jacob Marshall will ensure that 100% of the funds go to Ryan's education.
