I have known Ryan pretty much since birth, he's been my closest friend for as long as i can remember really. But he's recently got himself in to a bit of bother...

Ryan is due to marry Lauren, his partner of more than 10 years, this August (finally). All of us around them have been absolutely buzzing for them both! And preparations are in full swing from both sides to get us all ready for the big day.

Unfortunately, Ryan has just had a horrific injury playing football. A clean break of his right Tibia, which has led to compartment syndrome from the severe bone trauma. He has currently had 1 surgery to make a huge incision on his leg to relieve the build up of pressure, with another tomorrow (09/04/24) to graft skin from his thigh over the cut. This is all before they've even been able to pin his Tibia back together!!

Ryan is looking at a potential 6 month layoff, which, as an experienced self employed carpenter who never misses a days work is going to have a huge impact on him and Lauren financially, on top of still having a wedding to pay off and actually getting himself down the aisle on the day!

As his friend, there isn't much i can do for him apart from be there for him and his partner in this torrid time. But what i would really like to do for him, is take away some of the money worries he most definitely is having right now and let him focus on his recovery and let him still look forward to his big day this summer.

That is why I'm asking for help from anyone who has the heart to listen! Every little helps and anything you can give will make a massive difference to Ryan and Lauren.
