Ryan and Elizabeth's Wildfire Recovery Fund
Donation protected

We are organizing this on behalf of our youngest sibling and her husband. Ryan and Elizabeth lost their home, two outbuildings, and all personal possessions on Saturday, 8/19/23, in the Oregon Road/Elk wildfires that are currently ravaging the Northeastern Washington area.
After getting the level three evacuation order at 4 p.m. on a Friday afternoon, they had less than an hour to figure out what to leave with. They safely made it out of the house with their two dogs and a few personal items.
By 3 a.m., all had been lost, leaving only the foundation among the charred landscape. Everything they have been building as a family for the last nine years at that property was lost.
Ryan and Elizabeth have always been there for anyone who needed help. They have been the ones that never ask for help; instead, they are the ones that offer any and all help to those in need.
We are asking for karma to work out, and anyone who can donate please do so. They will use the money for short-term housing and pet boarding. They have two large dogs that are not used to being confined to a small space. Pet boarding on and off may be the only way to keep them until they find an appropriate apartment that will allow large dogs.
When you lose everything at once, rebuilding your life seems like a daunting and impossible task. They are still reeling from what has happened and trying to figure out the next steps. Eventually they will be able to rebuild, but the road ahead of them is long and stressful. They are working with their insurance company, but nothing is quick, and winter is going to approach fast.
Again, we ask that you help out if at all possible, any amount will help.
Please send your well wishes and good vibes to them. If you cannot donate, we ask that you share this with as many people as possible.
