Help Henley's Family

Hello!

On behalf of Ryan, Erin and Henley's family and friends (who are family too), this GoFundMe page was created.

September 26th became a very scary but magical day for the Thomas Family. Starting at 32 weeks pregnant, Erin starting having some heath issues, later believed to be an infection or preeclampsia by doctors. Her problems starting getting worse, and by 35 weeks doctors decided to induce, leading to an emergency C-section caused by a prolapsed cord. At 9:47pm, Henley Emogene Thomas was born happy and healthy. 

Henley's second gift to the world came just as she was entering the world. Through her slightly unconventional birth, she helped the doctor find the problem with Mama. While completing the C-section the doctor found a mass growing on Erin's colon. What had started as an immensely joyful night immediately became scary for the new Thomas trio.

The two days later, Erin was again, back in surgery to remove the mass from her colon. Unfortunately, the bad news did not end there. After the surgery, Erin and Ryan were informed that the mass was stage 3 cancer, it had spread to her lymph nodes. The doctor ordered Erin to endure 6 months of chemotherapy but first a battery of scans and tests to make sure the cancer hadn’t spread any further. 

This cancer diagnosis, coupled with the pregnancy, has compounded into boundless medical bills. Until Erin is able to complete all the testing and chemotherapy no one knows the extent. Erin was unable to return to work due to the physical demands and Ryan has recently taken a new job, meaning their temporary Cobra insurance plan doesn't cover much. 

Now, Erin and Ryan are ready to beat cancer and focus on caring for baby Henley. We hope to help them move through this tough time as quickly as possible so they can have less worries and stress to go along with all the new joy Henley is bringing with her.
