So first things first this took a lot for me to put this together because I know so many people who use these just because they're lazy and I never want my family to be looked at as that or using anyone. But we're at the point where we need all the help we can get.
This is going to be a little long so please bare with me. I want to let it all out why we're doing this.
So in February we let someone rent our extra room and everything seemed to be going good with the kid. He was nice, he had just lost his mother (so he said) and he didn't have any family here. Ryan and I being the people that we are paid his first months rent so he could move in asap, get on his feet and not be struggling in the upcoming months as he didn't have a job yet. Fast forward to the end of February the 26th to be exact, Ryan got in a really bad car accident. He was in ICU for 5 days in serious critical condition, and then another 5 in the hospital doing Physical Therapy and on a strict liquid diet. They had to do emergency surgery the night of the accident taking out almost 4 feet of his instestines that had ruptured from the seatbelt (that he was thankfully wearing) and to also stop the bleeding he had. They told me if they had waited another 45 mins he would've bled out internally. His car hit a guard rail on 75 and flipped 5 times, he landed 200 feet from the road in the bushes. Although we are extremely blessed to have had him make it out of this, it's going to be a long road to full recovery. As a lot of you know he was in an another accident in 2006 where he was almost ran off the Skyway which caused him severe permanent damage to his back that he had surgery for twice and continues to go to the doctor monthly for epidural shots and pain management. So this has caused even more of an issue with that for him. At this point we aren't sure if he'll be able to even work a "normal" job again. He's been with his company as the Manager of Youfit for 6 years and had to leave due to the situation. Now as Ryan was in the hospital I was there with him the whole time. I stayed there and at my grandparents in Sarasota with Neeko to be as close as we could. I got Ryan's belongings from the hospital and brought them home (wallet, phone, cash he had just taken out of the bank for his Drs apt he was supposed to have the following day as his Dr isn't currently accepting the insurance he had from work). I brought those things home when I came to get extra clothes and things for all of us and I put them in OUR dresser drawer, in OUR bedroom that ALWAYS had the door shut even if we were home.
Now as this was all happening and we're there our roommate was at the house by himself. On the day I had to pay rent I texted him saying "Hey **** I have to pay rent tomorrow can I come pick it up from you in the am to put in my account?" He responds with "Yes absolutely I'll see you in the morning. How's Ryan doing?" So the next day comes and instead I got to work and tell him I'll get it later when I get home. I come home from work and there's no roommate. He leaves a note on a RECEIPT paper that says "be right back - ****" this was about 5 days ago now? As I go look around I notice he left his house key on the table. Now this kid has no job, no phone and says he gets money because his dad was in the Military and passed away and they pay him monthly so as for not having a job but thinking he could afford it that was why we thought he could. So we also let him use our computer/an old phone with wifi to have communication. So I go looking on his Facebook messages for some explanation and find a message that reads "please pick me up Bianca asked for rent money and I can't afford it so I can't be here when she comes home". So not only does he leave without at least coming to us and trying to talk but he lies to me, then pays NO money AND to top it all off we ended up calling the police and filing a report because this kid went in OUR room, and STOLE ALL the money that was in our drawer a total of $3500 (half of which was for Ryan's Dr's and the other half from his last check at work) in OUR bedroom and takes the LAST of Ryan's medication that he had.
I understand we all have bills and things we have to take care but we need the help whatever way we can get it. We both have children his daughter that he pays support for (of course) and my son who lives with us. So as I'm the only one currently working (I work 6 days a week) Ryan's car was totaled, we have to pay his medical bills, Drs appointments, physical therapy, prescriptions, and of course our usual housing bills and now my car payment (since his is gone), daycare because he can't watch Neeko with his staples/not being able to walk yet. Basically things most of us all have but we just can't afford it all atm.
So I'm asking for ANY kind of help anyone can give us. Whether is donating or just sharing this page so we can reach whoever we can to get the help we need.
And if you made it to the end we THANK you so very much from the bottom of our hearts.
And I'm sorry this was so long and rambly. I'm just kind of a little stressed out right now lol.
But please share, donate, anything you can even a $1 is something to help towards these medical bills we're going to have coming up.
