Human Trafficking Signs- Rest Area

Hello everyone!
My name is Savannah Buppert, and I am president of S.P.A.R.C. (Slavery Prevention and Revealing Corruption). I have teamed together with The Village Green Project, S.A.S. (Seattle Against Slavery), and Representative Sage Dixon to pass legislation in regards to ending Human Trafficking. In 2014, we passed a law allowing Non-Profit Organizations to post signs containing information about how to get help if you are a victim of Human Trafficking, along with an emergency number for victims to contact.

Our passion is to provide help for victims of Human Trafficking in Idaho. People are trafficked across this country every day, and many stop or are forced to work as prostitutes in rest areas. By installing signs in every rest area in Idaho, we will help end Human Trafficking, bring greater awareness to people about this issue, and provide a means of safety and support for the victims.

Our neighboring state, Washington, recently added similar signs in all Washington rest areas and calls to the National Human Trafficking Hotline from Washington Sate went up by 80%. That's 80% more people who were able to get information and help.

The signs are in several languages, and will be placed discreetly in both the male and female bathrooms of rest areas, allowing victims to see the information and memorize the simple phone number without fear of punishment or prosecution.

We have worked hard to get the laws in place to allow the signs to be hung. Now, we need your help. We are just $2000 short of meeting our goal, and being able to make a difference in our state. 100% of the funds will go directly into sign manufacturing and installation.

There are men, women, and children who are being forced into hard labor and prostitution every day. They need our help. With your generosity, we can provide it.
