Marisa's Medical Expenses

Marisa was invloved in a very serious accident resulting in numerous injuries to her face and right side of her body. She fractured both cheek bones, both orbital sockets, broken nose in 2 places, a wound to her forehead requiring numerous stiches that will need cosmetic surgery to ultimately correct. The blow to her head also created 3 clots in her frontal lobe and severe TBI (Traumativ Brain Injury). Broke her collar bone, right shoulder (Has 6 screws), right humerous in 2 places, right elbow on the inside and the right elbow cap ripping the right tendon of her elbow, required multiple surgeries and still in a cast and is unknown at this point about full use. broke every rib on the right side puncturing her lung, and lacerting her liver. She was on a ventulator for the 1st 5 days, had the tube down her throat for 7 days. In the ICU for 13 Days befor moving to the neuro untit for 1 week. After the 3rd  week they removed the chest tube and we were able to get the 1st word out of Marisa it was a GREAT DAY. End of week 4 all tubes finally out started get senteces not all makes sense remebers famliy sometimes. Week 5 started rehab 6-8 hours a day and making progress with all aspects. Week 6 is were we are currently at she is  happy to see us everyday, walking with assistance brain level still at elementary level it will take some time. Bottom Line We are Happy are Daughter will be coming home with us.
