Logan's New Wheels!

Donation protected
Hey everyone, thank you for taking the time to read this. As some of you may know, my younger brother Logan has lived as a quadriplegic since a mountain biking accident in 2008. He is considered a high functioning quad but struggles daily with getting around without the full use of his arms, hands and core muscles. Despite the major adversity life handed him, Logan has been nothing but positive these past fourteen years. In 2017 Logan did the bravest thing he has even done in his life and ventured to Panama for a new medical procedure of Stem Cell regeneration with the hope of regaining some mobility. He fought hard during the month he spent there receiving multiple injections and being in incredible amounts of pain daily but inevitably the stem cells didn’t work. What felt like his last chance at regaining function ended up being a huge disappointment for him.
But despite this, Logan has come to terms with the fact he will more than likely spend the rest of his life in a chair. After 14 years stubbornly in a regular wheelchair, designed mainly for paraplegics (people with full use of their arms), Logan's shoulders are shot. He has put off getting a power chair because of the stigmatism that comes with being handicapped and he has believed a power chair would worsen that. But now, he realizes how cooped up he has been and how little he is able to get out in the world and live his life. Over the last two years and due to the pandemic, he has spent almost every day inside his house or i in his yard.
He has realized that in order to get out more, he has accepted he needs a power chair. This will allow him the freedom and accessibility to see the places he loves that he hasn't seen since prior to getting injured. He has been looking into getting a power wheelchair over the last while and has finally been able to try one this last week. It has allowed him more freedom and mobility than he ever has since getting hurt. He can taste the freedom he so badly needs and wants.
Unfortunately, the government funding available will only fund a basic power chair that would only be capable of accessing places with well-paved sidewalks. Logan is craving the great outdoors, nature, mountains and living a more regular life. After a recent trip to Whistler, where he saw how accessible some of the trails here are, he was inspired to obtain an off-road power chair, the ultimate adventure chair!
However, since Logan's injury, he has been unable to work and therefore is unable to fund the remaining cost for a wheelchair like this.
Now I am asking anyone who can spare a few dollars to help raise the money to open up his world. The chair is called the V6 Frontier All-terrain power wheelchair. With this, he’ll be able to go anywhere he wants and will finally be able to be totally self-reliant. He will also be able to finally explore the nature that surrounds him by being able to go on off-road trails. He even has goals of climbing accessible mountains and going camping. Any support is so appreciated; lets help Logan become more independent and enjoy the great outdoors!!
