Have you ever met a stranger who you instantly knew they were good ?? Good hearted, good for your spirit and good for the world?? That’s how I met my friend, Anita. My name is Kim and in the 2 decades that I’ve known her , she has lived up to that description time after time. She consistently gives to others in need whether financially or in service. ( most recently caring for her mother selflessly around the clock for past 2 years , so that her mom could pass at home surrounded by her family as she wished)

Anita was first diagnosed with breast cancer in July of 2018. She underwent multiple surgeries and followed plant based diet and trusted in God’s word , which resulted in being cancer free for a time. She continued being seen by cancer doctors, who continued to tell her that the pains she was having were due to scar tissue, even giving her scans along the way to ease her concerns. Unfortunately, the scans given were not the type that show cancer growth. In December 2022, those same doctors informed Anita that she has stage four, metastatic breast cancer in her breastbone. It is inoperable.

My selfless, giving friend is determined to fight it anyway. However, as we all know, medical /holistic treatments are not cheap ., which is why I’m telling you Anita’s story. She is declining chemotherapy and radiation. She’s chosen non-conventional treatment , instead choosing holistic and naturopathic therapies. She needs assistance securing a naturopathic doctor to monitor her bloodwork, a nurse practitioner for IV therapy which is recommended weekly, and to continue with other holistic treatments, none of which is covered by insurance.

Anita continues to trust in God but realizes that there’s work to do on her part.
