Emily’s Fund

Emily is the strongest person I know. As her sister, I have watched her endure over 15 brain surgeries and 30 shunt surgeries. She was diagnosed with Chiari psuedotumor when she was 4 years old.  She has brain stem complications and now her heart and lungs don’t work correctly. She has 2-3 surgeries a year and numerous hospital stays. Through all this she fights. She goes to school, and works, and pushes herself to a point where all of us would have long given up.

I started this gofundme because she is currently continuing her fight, however a local WI hospital has made the decision to sue her over past due co-pays. She has never asked for help, so I am stepping in, to ask for her.  Illness affects everyone around Emily, and yet she is has always been my rock. Life isn’t fair, but this shouldn’t be an additional battle she has to fight.
