As many of you know, Jennifer Kuhn Lutz was recently diagnosed with Stage 2B Triple Negative Breast Cancer — an aggressive form of invasive ductal carcinoma. Hearing those words has been devastating for her and everyone who loves her.
Jen has a long and difficult road ahead. She will undergo two rounds of chemotherapy: the first lasting 12 weeks with weekly treatments, along with immunotherapy every three weeks. After that, she will begin an even tougher second round of chemo for another 8 weeks, still paired with immunotherapy. Once the chemo is complete, Jen will have a double mastectomy followed by several weeks of radiation to ensure that every trace of the cancer is gone.
Throughout this intense and exhausting process, Jen will not be able to work — and unfortunately, she will not be receiving pay during this time. As many of us know, losing a full income while also facing medical bills can be a stressful burden. Jen and Colin are deeply devoted parents to their adorable 20 month old daughter and loving partners, and while they are remaining strong and hopeful, the financial strain is very real.
Many of you have already reached out asking how you can help. But if you know Jen and Colin, you know they are the first to say “we’re fine” even when things are hard. They are generous, kind, and supportive — but now it’s our turn to support them.
That’s why this GoFundMe was created — to give friends, family, coworkers, and community members a simple way to support Jen through this incredibly hard chapter. Your donation will help cover everyday expenses, medical costs, and provide a cushion so Jen can focus on healing without the weight of financial stress.
Even if you’re not able to give, please consider sharing this with your network. Your love and support mean more than you know. Thank you!
If you are looking for other ways to help please feel free to reach out to Vicki, Megan, Ashley, Amanda, Frank, or Pat.
With thankful hearts, Jen and Colin’s loving friends!
