Hello. My name is Rebecca Shehan. I am Michael Childress' youngest sister and Asher's aunt.

Asher was in a bad sledding accident that resulted in an ambulance ride, a short stay at York Hospital, a Life Lion helicopter ride, multiple days in the ICU at Hershey Children's Hospital, and is currently still at the hospital in a Pediatric Surge unit.

He had to get a stitch in his lip and will need some dental care when he is home. He also had some major internal concerns. He has lost function of the top half of his right kidney, had some liver issues, and his spleen was also a slight concern. Currently, he is progressing very well and should be able to return home after the snowstorm. We are still praying for his fever to permanently break and for no infections to occur.

Many friends and family have asked how they can help and support their family during this hard time. After much prayer and discussion, Michael and Tiffany agreed I could start this for them.

Michael and Tiffany have not received the bills from the accident yet, so a final number is unknown. We would like to bless their family financially. Any funds they receive beyond what they need will be donated at their discretion.

The family is extremely grateful for everyone's care, concern, support, prayers, and love during this time. They know Asher is in God's hands, and He is guiding their steps. God has shown up in random strangers, nurses, songs, answered prayers, and more. Please continue to pray for Asher, Michael and Tiffany, and their other four children while they are away. Thank you!
