We've all ran into times in our lives where something unexpected happens that catches us off guard. Car gets damaged, something stolen, a call from the doctor with bad test results...you don't need me to go on, but you get the point. It happens to all of us.

Several weeks ago the Ladley family experienced something along those lines when their kitchen faucet started leaking. This situation was a bit different though as the leak was in the faucet hose and went on undetected for weeks until their cabinets and floors were saturated and in disrepair. Unfortunately due to the nature of this event, the damages are not covered by their insurance company, and because it was unseen for some time mold has taken hold in their kitchen causing health issues. After consulting contractors, at a minimum, some of their kitchen cabinets will need to be replaced along with the entire floor, but, until demolition starts it is uncertain how extensive the damage is. With mold in the air, the sooner we can get demolition started the better.

For those that know the Ladley family, you know they are continuously pouring out into the lives of the people around them. Peter works in the housing division in Washington County helping low income families along in their journey to self sufficiency, Emily homeschools their children, they faithfully serve at JIBC week in week out in the manna food ministry as well as other areas of the church. When they rejoice, we rejoice...and when they hurt, so do we.

So, I am sending this out on their behalf and asking you to join me in seeing what we can do to support a family who helps so many just by being who they are.
