Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out to share some difficult news about Richard, a 20-year-old who has a bright future ahead. He works for the Conservation Corps and also as a canvasser, and he's currently working on getting OSHA certified and a forklift license. His ambition, kindness, and strength are truly remarkable, as his friends and loved ones would attest.
On September 8th, Richard suffered a serious accident, falling from the 6th Street bridge in Long Beach—about a 20-foot drop. We were notified by the police that he is in the hospital with a severe brain injury, a skull fracture and a broken arm. He has a breathing tube and a feeding tube because he is currently sedated and has not yet woken up.
To support Richard during this challenging time, I’ve set up a GoFundMe page. The funds will help cover his rent, medical bills, and basic necessities while he is recovering and unable to work. Any contribution, whether large or small, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support and kindness. We have faith that Richard will wake up soon and be on the road to recovery.
