My name is Aidenne Despres, and I am directing STOP KISS by Diana Son through Jeremy Torres Lab Theatre, a student-led organization at Texas State University. We are fundraising to cover the cost of costume pieces, props, set pieces, and other technical design elements, as well as the cost of rights & librettos for the play. Our talented cast and crew are working so hard to bring this show to life, and we could use your help!

STOP KISS is a story about two women navigating a new relationship and coming to terms with their identities. Callie, a resident New Yorker, is asked to help Sara, a Midwestern elementary school teacher, adjust to the new city. When they meet, the two quickly become inseparable. Their friendship turns to romance that neither knows how to navigate. When their first kiss provokes a violent attack, their worlds are turned upside down. Told out of sequence, we witness the blossoming relationship between these two women before and after the attack, and how Callie is psychologically affected by the event.
