God has the last word

Tragedy touched one of our very own earlier this month. Matthew Phuong, son of Thomas Jousset Phoung, a ground worker at West Dade Service Center, fell down seven (7) stories from the balcony of the family’s apartment building in North Miami. Miraculously, young Matthew survived the fall and was rushed to Jackson’s Ryder Trauma center in Downtown Miami where he has been in an induced medical coma since his accident. Despite this terrible event, however, both Thomas and his wife are beyond thankful for the miracle of their son’s survival and the thoughts and prayers of family, friends, coworkers and strangers alike. Their son continues to improve and they are hopeful for a positive outcome as doctors monitor his progress and gradually reduce the sedatives keeping him asleep.

We are starting this GoFund me in the hopes of offering additional support to Thomas and his family during this very difficult time. With everyone’s support, we are hoping to lighten the burden of the many medical expenses and stress related to this event so that Thomas and his family can focus on their son’s recovery and well-being. Please, take a moment to make a donation if you can – any amount is certain to be appreciated. Let’s continue this miracle. Thank you for your love and support.
