Hi,
I am Brad Schisler. I am trying to help my my father Doug Schisler in any way I can . He lost his home in the Valley Fire in Cobb CA.
On September 12, 2015 the Valley Fire started in Cobb CA. Within the first three hours my fathers home, the home he raised his children in, the place he called home for more than 28 years was gone along with many others. At 3:09PM I spoke to my father on the phone, he told me that fire was exploding and abruptly ended the conversation. When I attempted to call him back the phones and power were out. I reached him on my sisters cell phone. He told me, "when I left I could hear propane tanks exploding two blocks away and the fire sounded like a freight train coming through the forest." He escaped with his car, the clothes on his back, and his prized chainsaws. He is living with his sister and also my brother at times. He lost a life times worth of hard work and memories. Please assist him in any way that you can, everything donated will assist him in rebuilding his home or any expenses he may have.
