Julie Bell's Big Battle

My dear friend Julie Bell, formerly of Hailey and now living in Boise, has been diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer and it has spread to her liver. She also has a second tumor in one of her kidneys.
Julie is currently undergoing chemotherapy and doctors have told her the tumor on her liver may be operable. Transplants are not an option. She has had to stop working, and fortunately has been able to go on disability. As a direct result of the kidney tumor, she has developed diabetes.
Unfortunately, Julie’s living expenses and those of her youngest daughter, Katie, who is a senior in high school, are not being entirely met and her medical bill are racking up quickly. Her oldest kids, Sarah, Alex, and Nick are helping as much and as often as they can and, of course, they are her reason for living. <3
I met Julie at work nine years ago and we became fast friends. She is one of those people who is honestly good and caring and generous, and she deserves every good thing in the world, not this stupid tumor.
