YWAM Kona Staff

Hey guys! I'm raising money for my staff fund with YWAM Kona! Read below to see what I'm up to and what I'll be doing!

WHAT WAS MY DTS LIKE?

As most of you know, I recently finished my DTS (Discipleship Training School) with an organization called YWAM (Youth With a Mission)! During my time in DTS, I encountered the Lord like I never have before. For the first 12 weeks of DTS, We spent our time each day learning more about the Word and growing closer to Jesus. We spent several hours each day in hearing messages from pastors and evangelists, and we partook in training to prepare us for 12 weeks on the mission field. After that 12 weeks, I spent 2.5 months in the Himalayas doing street evangelism. We went to Buddhist/Hindu temples, restaurants, villages, old folks homes, and even a leper colony to pray for the sick, preach the Gospel, and love on anyone and everyone we encountered. My DTS experience led me to immense growth both mentally and spiritually, and I'm so, so thankful for what the Lord did in me and what He's going to continue to do in me furthermore!

WHAT'S NEXT?

In one month, I'll be headed back to YWAM Kona to staff with their Media Track! I've been a photographer for five years now, and I want to use the creative gift that the Lord gave me to lead people to Him. I'll be leading photography for the school Fire & Fragrance, and I'll be teaching students about photography, how they can get better at it, and how they can edify one another and lead people to the Lord through their gifts. I'll also be shooting all around the base and going on visits to mission teams around the globe to capture what the Lord is doing in each nation. I've always dreamt of being able to travel the world, so the fact that the Lord has opened the door for me to do this is such an immense blessing. I'm so grateful!

WHAT'RE THE FUNDS GOING TOWARDS?

With that being said, I need to raise $8,000 for the next four months. Here's what that money will go towards:

1. Housing for 4 months on The Big Island
2. Food + Transportation (Shipping car to Hawaii)
3. Flights to Kona and back home for Christmas
4. Leadership Track Class fees 
5. Outreach to Myanmar in January (!!!!!!)
6. Various Insurance/Visa fees

I'm am blown away by how much was given to me the past January for my DTS. The Lord provided in every kind of way, and I believe and have faith that He will again!
