Hi my name is Susan LeCraw and myself and thousands of other “Friends of Noah’s Ark” not only have a love for all animals, but a love for the family and caretakers that started and work for Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary, 501c3. #savenoahsark
For 30+ years, Noah’s Ark Founder Jama Hedgecoth, and her family have poured their hearts, lives and resources into building and maintaining Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary (NA), a safe haven for exotic ,farm and domesticated animals as well as a rehab program for orphaned, neglected and abused injured wildlife. They work closely with the Department of Natural Resources. The NA Adoption Center for cats and dogs is also in jeopardy of being removed. Currently over 100 species and 50 exotics reside at NA. Jama also has adopted 4 providing them with a safe and loving home.
Recently a rogue group on the board of directors has launched an all out assault to take over NA and force Jama and her family out. Using funds donated for the care of animals, this group hired a President to take the helm of NA paying her an exorbitant salary of $144,000. They hired an attorney to assist in their plot and scheme to oust Jama, and hired a PR firm to try and salvage their image after enormous public outcry, all with funds donated to NA! We trusted that the new board members would bring awareness and keep their same mission. This is not what has happened!
Things took an ugly turn when Jama and her family rescued 21 wolf-dogs that no other rescue could take in. The outraged President suspended Allison Hedgecoth, animal care director, without pay for saving the lives of these beautiful animals!
The Hedgecoth family is incurring additional expenses for this conflict, while the rogue board members are spending funds donated to NA to wage their war. WE need Your Help!
The purpose of this fundraiser is provide funds for attorney fees and other costs needed to fight for Noah’s Ark, the 1500+ animals that call it home, and all the future animals whose lives will be saved. The Hedgecoth's have helped so many animals, now we can help them continue the mission and Save Noah’s Ark! Noah’s Ark is a 501 (c)(3) non profit. More detailed information about the hostile takeover can be found on the Save Noah’s Ark Facebook page.
