Help Drew get “back” on his feet
Donation protected
Hello! We are the Johnson family and the last month has been very rocky for us. On Labor Day, Drew woke up with terrible back pain and since then he has gotten worse and worse. After 2 biopsies, numerous MRIs, and tests, Drew was diagnosed with discitis osteomyelitis, a severe infection in his spine. At this point, surgery is not indicated, however there is a strong possibility that Drew will require a multi-level spinal fusion in the near future, if conservative management is unsuccessful. Drew is facing a minimum of 3 months off work and on modified bed rest. While Drew’s job is granting his leave from work with FMLA, he does not have short-term disability and is not bringing in any income at this time. Amy, (Drew’s wife) is a nurse and is currently working 60+ hours per week and caring for Silas, (Amy & Drew’s 7 year old son). After 15 days on the post-intensive care unit, bi-weekly MRIs, numerous specialists, and home healthcare, the medical bills continue to pile up. The Johnson family is humbly asking for help at this time, as these circumstances were catastrophic and completely unforeseen. Any amount will be graciously accepted and we will be forever grateful for any assistance at all during this difficult time.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
Sincerely,
Drew, Amy, & Silas
