A future for Francis June
Donation protected
Hi to our friends, family, and community near and far—
Many of us know the joys of watching your family and childhood friends become parents. We see the photos and memories being made and feel like we are a part of the journey. Even when distance separates us we can share small moments via messaging or social media, making it feel like we are there with them for every fun and silly moment, first days of school, holidays, and more. We can also move through the tough times together, and that’s what I’m asking of you now – to be there more than you ever have for Frankie, Noah, Gabby, and Andrew Price.
Gabby and Andrew received a diagnosis on June 29th that has changed their lives. Their happy, sweet, thoughtful, spunky daughter Frankie was diagnosed with Sanfilippo syndrome type A — a devastating terminal genetic disorder often referred to as childhood Alzheimer’s. This disorder robs children of their abilities and leads to a heartbreaking regression where skills like walking, talking, and eating are lost over time leading to an early death.
Take a moment to unfold what this diagnosis means.
Sanfilippo progresses rapidly and, although research is ongoing, there is currently no cure or treatment that significantly changes the course of the disease’s manifestation. The Prices are working desperately to put Frankie in a position to benefit from experimental clinical trials or other types of intervention that may slow the disease’s progression until more advanced treatments or therapies become available. Clinical trials show promise, holding potential for treatments that could make a difference. However, these trials demand significant financial resources and time.
As a friend of Gabby and Andrew’s and as a parent myself, I am sickened by the thought of any individual enduring this journey for their child. Of course, we spend our energy and time to make sure our children don’t face hardship or pain. Gabby and Andrew have given Frankie the most engaging and happy life and I’m asking that you now consider her future. Your donation to her fight with Sanfilippo syndrome can support Gabby and Andrew’s commitment to her well-being and peaceful life ahead.
Frankie is a gift to us all and the Price family has shown us all how to be strong and loving in the face of adversity. I’m reaching out to you, our friends, family, and compassionate souls, with a humble request. We believe in the power of community, in the generosity that flows from kind hearts. We are starting this GoFundMe campaign to rally support for Frankie, help cover the costs of potential treatments and trials, and to give the Prices the means to explore every possible avenue of hope.
Every donation, every share, and every word of encouragement makes a difference. Join us in a mission to give Frankie a fighting chance, to show her the unwavering love and support of a community that cares deeply.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
