We are a family of five with two animals. Two of our children have medical issues ones an insulin dependent diabetic and one is a six month old preemie with cardiac issues. It’s taking everything in me to share our story an let my pride down an ask for help. On August 6th at 239pm our breaker box in the house we were renting caught fire. I had to call 911 upon fire rescue getting there they told me that our home was unsafe and they would be calling code an building inspectors out there and they had to cut the power to the entire home. Telling us we had to find somewhere to go. I have been out of work since my second month pregnant due to pregnancy related issues then my son being born early and having cardiac issues my fiance is the only one providing at this time so I can care for our son. We took what little bit of money we had an got a room for four days. Upon meeting with code enforcement on August 8th they posted the house as unsafe an said we are unable to live there anymore that there are too many code violations as well as black mold! Our landlord would not pay for our room an board nor is he willing to help in any way with relocation as he has let the house foreclose and filed bankruptcy an left my family on the streets heart broken and at a complete loss. I’m making this to try to help get the money for us to get into a new place and make the necessary deposits it takes to get moved in as staying in a hotel isn’t feasible on our income along with being able to save. I know it’s hard out here for everyone right now an if anyone is able to help my family would greatly appreciate it. If not prayers are much needed as well.
