Scott's Stem Cell Transplant Fund
Donation protected
Back in April, I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a cancer of the blood. It causes protiens in your bone marrow to attack your bones and eat holes in them. Not fun! I am taking three medications that have put me in remission, but it is only a temporary remission. What I really need is a stem cell transplant. I can collect short term disability from work, but not for a year. To do the stem cell transplant, they have to harvest stem cells from my body. One of the medications that I am taking causes the amount of stem cells my bone marrow produces to decrease over time. And this change is permanent. So time is really of the essence. If I can come up with enough to cover the work I will be missing (about three months) and the amount that the surgery will cost me after insurance, I will be able to get the stem cell transplant within the next couple months, which is when the oncologist wants to do it. Anything that you could donate would be greatly appreciated! Thank you just for taking the time to read this!
