Hi everyone... with a heavy heart I am devastated to say that my one and only Aunt has just received the news that she has Liver and Pancreas Cancer.... it started with her throwing up over a period of a couple days with stomach pains. Thinking at first it was a stomach flu and that it would pass. After a couple days and constantly throwing up and in pain she decided to go to the ER. At the ER she discovered she had a mass on her liver of some unexplainable material. Meanwhile, her husband had recently switched employers. Meaning that they no longer had health insurance forcing them to have to pay out of pocket for a temporary health insurance. Now up until this date this will be her fourth time being rushed to the hospital. The doctors did a full biopsy and determined that the mass was indeed liver cancer as well as pancreas cancer... now she currently staying at the Ontario hospital until she is able to receive a bed at the city of hope hospital down south in the Rancho Cucamonga area. My aunt is an amazing person who has a degree in Biology that she recieved at UCSB and use to be the owner and founder of Enchanté a salon she opened in Oregon years back. Now she lives in Rancho Cucomonga with her husband and her two amazing children, my niece and nephew.. my family has seriously been through so much and it seems as if each year our family is shrinking and getting smaller. It's killing my family to see her in this condition.
For those of you who don't know... this isn't my aunts first time going to war with death. During the birth of her son she was pronounced dead on three different occasions.. however there was something there in that hospital room that day that was pushing her to continue her fight. At the age of 14 I received the call that my aunt had passed away.. my heart dropped at that instance.. minutes later I received another call telling me she miraculously came back to life and was going to make it. All and all, my aunt is a warrior. She knows it's not her time and I know she's going to fight until the very end. This battle may be going south for us but with all your support and knowing that God is good, I know she'll be able to overcome.
Prayers, good vibes, love and smiles from all of my friends would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance and let's fight with her to show her she's not alone. #GoBeyondGiving
