On August 13th, our dear friends Ruben and Lori - known to many as Life After Kids Journey Unknown - experienced a devastating loss while boondocking on Wyoming Game & Fish public land outside of Beulah, WY.

A powerful supercell storm rolled in with violent winds and driving rain. In an instant, a massive tree came crashing down onto their beloved Class C motorhome - their only home - crushing it and missing them by mere inches. By a miracle, they walked away without physical injury.

Sadly, the motorhome is a total loss. Because it was an older model, they had no comprehensive insurance coverage, leaving them without a home and without the means to easily replace it.

Ruben and Lori aren’t just travelers - they are kindhearted members of the RV and nomadic community who share their adventures and encouragement on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. They’ve brought smiles, inspiration, and friendship to so many of us. Now, they need our help.

Our $30,000 Goal - What It Means

When the storm took their RV, it didn’t just destroy a vehicle…it took their home, their belongings, and their freedom to live the life they love.

• A New Home on Wheels ($22K–$25K) . A safe, road-ready Class C motorhome they can call home again, big enough for full-time living and continued adventures.

• Replacing What Was Lost ($2K–$4K). Clothing, bedding, cookware, RV tools, camping gear, and the personal touches that turn a rig into a home.

• Temporary Shelter & Travel ($1K–$2K. A safe place to stay while they search for their new RV, plus travel expenses to retrieve it.

• Getting Back on the Road ($1K–$2K). Licensing, registration, insurance, and any initial repairs to make their new rig reliable and roadworthy.
