RV family with 4 kids and Stage 5 Kidney Failure
Donation protected
It’s been 5 years since I asked for help with a GoFundMe while I was going through my cancer treatments. The support we received from friends and neighbors helped us out tremendously. Well, we now have the chance to pay it forward.
Good friends of ours have come upon some hard times. Will and Sue are full-time RV’ers with four children, ages 14, 11, 8, and 4 years old. They have been full-time now for 8 years while homeschooling on the road. Will’s health has been slowly deteriorating with 3 recent hospitalizations. During his most recent hospital stay, he found out that he is in Stage 5 Kidney failure. He needs to start dialysis and get on a kidney transplant list as well as referred to a nephrologist in Lake Havasu City.
On top of all of the medical issues and expenses they are going through, the transmission on their tow vehicle went out and it is in the shop getting repaired, but the bill alone for the tow to the shop & the transmission rebuild will probably be close to $5000.
We stated the goal of the fundraiser to be $5000 as that is their immediate need to get their vehicle out of the repair shop, though we hope we can far exceed this amount. I’m sure we all know families that are hard-pressed during this pandemic and Will and Susan are one of those families.
To get this GoFundMe off the ground, Tina and I will be starting with a donation of $500. Any support that any of our friends and RV’ing families can help out with, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated.
If you are unable to donate, can you please share this on your personal Facebook page.
