Melody’s road to recovery ❤️
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Melissa, I’m 14 and I am the big sister of Melody. I am fundraising to help my parents with everyday basics, such as food, travelling to and from hospitals and etc. Month ago my little sister was having the best time of her life just enjoying her childhood, being cheeky and having fun times at school, home and gymnastics. Always out and about! Today she has already been through tons of treatment, procedures and transfusions. It all started with a fever wich was 40 Celsius degrees every single day. She was just so tired and then we found a spot on her leg and blisters around her mouth. It all was very strange and so we went to the doctors who gave her antibiotic. Antibiotics started to work but temperature was still very high. Melody was getting weaker and paler. We ended up at the Norwich and Norfolk Hospital, were we have been told that Melody is very poorly, that she has cancer and needs the treatment as soon as possible. In this split second our lives changed as our hearts broke into milion pieces. Melody has been urgently transported to Addenbrook Hospital where her diagnosis was confirmed as acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. I burst into tears but I know I, we all, have to be strong and fight for her. We will be spending a lot of time in Cambridge and work became a bit freaky for my parents. As a family we have already been through so many ups and downs. We need to be strong to tackle this and get Melody better again. My poor little sister is so brave and impress me every day, It’s all very challenging, mentally, physically and financially. Please help if you can. It will be much appreciated. Love from Melissa and family.♥️
