Our family is currently raising money to help pay off medical bills, and to help with funeral expenses, as we on our own are not capable of affording everything. During the week of Christmas our family had 4 members contract the Corona Virus at the same time. My Grandfather, Grandmother, and two aunts are in and out of the hospital as their situations change and local regulations change since current hospitals are at a limited capacity for COVID patients. One aunt is a firefighter/paramedic and the other works in the ER so every precaution has been taken to avoid this kind of situation. We are not sure how or where it came from but every bit helps the Ruwaldt family.
My Grandfather, Michael, is a loved husband of over 50 years, a father of four, grandfather of 10, and is the glue keeping our family together. He started to feel ill around Tuesday 12/22 and quickly went down hill on Christmas day. He was transported via ambulance to the hospital where he was put on oxygen and given a blood transfusion to receive antibodies. He was given very slim chances of survival from the Doctors tending to him and was put on a ventilator on the 27th. As he started to get weaned off the ventilator when he would wake up he would yell out and wasn't acting like himself. They tried this for 3 days and did a CT scan in January 3rd. It showed a massive brain bleed that was unoperable and his brain was shifted 2.8 CM. He is currently in hospice while we say our goodbyes.
My Grandmother, Pam, has also been hit with the virus and it has taken its toll on the entire family. She is unable to be by her husband’s side and tend to the family as she has always loved to do. She has been in and out of the hospital, sometimes via ambulance as her symptoms fluctuate. She is currently at home trying her best to recover and get back to being herself.
Their youngest, Amy, has also been hospitalized from the virus. She started to feel sick around the same time and became so dehydrated she had to be transported via ambulance. Her oxygen levels are having a hard time raising which means she may even have to be sent home with oxygen.
We are asking for help and prayers through this tough and trying times for these medical and afterlife expenses are going to be too much by ourselves. Thank you in advance.
"Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."
Psalms 23:4
