Living in the Bay Area California is tough financially with a family. We once lived on a boat, my wife and I, but once having a baby the rules and regulations forced us to move. They gave us 3 weeks. We had to swiftly sell the boat and find an apartment with a brand-new baby, a teenage son on weekends and a small dog, hopefully in a safe, inexpensive neighborhood... not easy. Through a couple of transactions I had invested an initial $12,000 into this boat and boating, but it will be a struggle to retrieve this investment as the lessee has stopped making payments to us.

After much hardship we finally found another place to live, an apartment. We stayed for almost 3 years, not knowing the landlord didn't actually own it, as the townhouse had been foreclosed.
The bank gave us only 30 days to move, which pushed us in to the next rental.

Then fortunately we found a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom single family house, in the same town luckily.
The new landlord begged us to stay long term, but strangely had us sign only a 6-month lease.
The first four months at that house were under deep construction, with dust, paint, toxic chemicals everywhere, and construction appearing anywhere at anytime unexpectedly every day. Then, when they finally finished construction four months later, the landlord then decided that he wanted his house back suddenly after the construction was completed.

So after these two Landlord scams, we finally found a safe, affordable place to live here in the Bay, with another affordable boat, in a marina that even allows children.

We have downsized from a 3x3 Townhouse with a 2-Car garage down to a 39' sea ray boat, but it’s all we want. Moving successively three times has destroyed my back and knees, as we couldn’t afford to pay for assistance. It may require more extensive medical care.

We need a down-payment of $5000 to keep this new boat, a 1988 Sea Ray Express Cruiser with 2 brand new engines and all new electrical wiring and new appliances and hardwood flooring.

We need this down payment however, or we will lose it by March 1st, 2019.

Normally we could handle this on our own, but after getting slammed by the above occurrences back-to-back over the last four months, we are struggling to make this all-important downpayment.

The lot we face is, if we don’t make this payment, we have no other options, and no funds to make anything else work. It is the scariest experience ever.

Any amount of help from all of you who are reading this will help keep our family together.

Thank you.
