My name is Cecilia Ramos, it took a lot of praying and guidance to finally decide to open this account for our family.
Just a few weeks ago our dad started feeling very sick. His symptoms were not your average symptoms, our dad has never been known to be the type of person to just stay still. He was constantly building something, fixing something, cleaning something, playing with his grandkids (my babies) or telling his jokes and elaborate stories to entertain us but all of a sudden he started losing weight, then slowly his energy was being drained from him, his gums started swelling, his eyes red and swollen..he no longer wanted to eat.. he was being taken away from us and we didn’t even know what was going on.
Our parents did not and do not have insurance coverage here in Houston, so my brother and I rushed to get them on a plane to Monterrey, Mexico to get lab work done and see a doctor. We got hit with the news that our dad has Cancer in his blood, immediately it felt like life hit us in thechest and knocked us down. They immediately put him on Chemo treatments and he has had to have blood transfusions everyday to keep his blood cells working. He will be needing to have a Bone Marrow transplant once his treatments are completed. If God willing his body is strong enough to accept it, the transplant can be done and soon after that we can bring him back home to us. We don’t know what the future will hold but God is giving us moretime to keep him with us. The expenses are adding up everyday, we are running low on blood donors and we are trying to get funds together for the medical costs and the Bone Marrow transplant. We are forever grateful for anything that you can help out with and pray God blesses you immensely more for whatever you can donate.
