Ruth's Recovery

David Carroll and Ruth Kenneally married in June 2016 and were blessed to become pregnant shortly after. Their excitement and joy of impending parenthood was short lived, when Ruth developed complications related to the pregnancy that resulted in a tumour behind her eye. This required urgent treatment that her medical team could not administer, until their baby had been delivered.

Bobby was born on 31st of March last year, Ruth unfortunately suffered a number of strokes following the birth which left her paralysed on the left hand side of her body, a lengthy period of rehabilitation care and an intensive program of aggressive physiotherapy with a greater and lesser rate of success.

The next stage of treatment requires Ruth to travel to Manchester Neuro Therapy Centre in order to further her journey to health and normality of family life which comes at a significant cost to the couple.
