Ruth's Animal Charity Fundraiser

Hi everyone,

It will come to no surprise to the people who know me that I'm raising money for animal charities, which is something I am really passionate about.

Every year I try to do something which I would find challenging for charity, and when I was thinking about it this year I figured out I had done pretty much all of the typical fitness challenges and started thinking outside the box. So I've decided to do something a little bit more permanent and impacting, which is to shave my head!

I'd love to raise £1000, and will split my money between Four Paws (https://www.four-paws.org.uk/) and Woodgreen Pets Charity (https://woodgreen.org.uk/). Anything extra I raise will be donated to a very small charity which is based in Gaza (https://sulalaanimalrescue.com/) and is helping feed and look after all stray and abandoned animals in the area.

I will also be donating my hair to Matter of Trust, which creates hair mats and barriers to help oil spills all throughout the world (https://matteroftrust.org/donate-hair-fur-and-fiber/). I have done a lot of research into these charities to ensure they are transparent with their expenditures, and I also wanted to split between companion pets within the UK and exotic animals that need help all around the world.

This will be taking place likely end of May or early June, and all egg head jokes are welcome. You'll also be seeing months of bad hair days which I'm sure we'll all enjoy.
