I am Amy Young, a long time friend of the Schoenleben family, and I worked at Nine Star with Ruth for almost 30 years. I'd love for the people who cared for Ruth to be able to care for her family as they grieve the loss of this lovely soul. Even a little bit helps.
RuthAnn Schoenleben was an ordained minister in the Assembly of God church, and a person who made every person who crossed her path feel so special and valued. She was the President & CEO of Nine Star Education & Employment Services that helps Alaskans prevent poverty, and she made it her personal mission to ensure that the Nine Star services were accessible to anyone who needed them. Her promotion of these services helped empower our vulnerable clients and jobseekers to a life of financial self-reliance.
I am sad to say that Ruth fell ill, and too quickly went on to be with the Savior she served. I am asking for support for her family to cover funeral and the heavy medical expenses that are quite a burden to carry. Her husband Marlan is in full time ministry, and it would be such a blessing for him to receive generous financial support from people who love his family, and from those who simply want to ease the burden of a family who so selflessly give to the good of others.
