We all have been graced with the generosity and boundless energy of Ruth Ann McBee! Ruth Ann has, with open arms, given so much to the Leonardo community. For several years, she volunteered at the Leonardo Grade School and led us into countless amazing Fall Fests, spring parties, musicals, holiday crafts and more! Each teacher at Leonardo Grade School knew that they could always count on Ruth Ann for her amazing ideas and hard work. Ruth Ann also started the Leonardo Girl Scout Troop and led it for several years, devoting hours of her time to make sure that each scout had an awesome experience and got as many opportunities to grow as possible! Ruth Ann always has a smile and an open heart! She has helped ALL of us and our children.

Ruth Ann has been bravely beating breast cancer for the past couple of years, all the while still continuing to donate her time to helping others. And now, Pat has received the shocking news that he has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Pat was already dealing with the instability of his job throughout this pandemic, so this news was definitely unexpected and presents them with some very hard challenges ahead.

We all want to find ways to help them and this is one way that we can! They will have bills of every kind, from keeping up with everyday bills to new medical bills for Pat as well as the ongoing bills for Ruth Ann from the past years of her own battle with cancer. We hope with everyone’s help this is one thing that they will not have to worry about.
