Hi friends! My name is Vicki Soucy and I am raising money for my dearest friends, Ruthann and Joey Ferenc. Ruthann and Joey have been my closest friends in the world for over 20 years. They have always been there for me through thick and thin, good times and bad. Those of you who have the honor of knowing this amazing couple, I know, would agree when I say that they are THE friends you want in your corner when life knocks you on your a**. Joey and Ruthann always have your back and would give anyone that they call their friend the shirts off their backs. They have had more than their share of tragedy and suffering, enough for a thousand lifetimes over. And yet they are always caring for others and showing kindness in both words and deeds. They have raised tens of thousands of dollars over the past several years for suicide prevention, have given of their time and efforts to help veterans and others who suffer and are in need. Joey is salt-of-the earth with a heart of gold. Ruthann has the heart of a caregiver and a fighter at the same time, protecting those she loves like a Mama Bear does.

Now, Joey and Ruthann are in a battle for Ruthann's recovery and need our help. On May 1st Ruthann had a 3-inch tumor and surrounding bone removed from her spinal cord. She suffered in gut-wrenching unimaginable pain for 3 weeks leading up to the surgery with Joey by her side day and night. They have both suffered greatly through this ordeal. The surgery was a success, however, the road to recovery will not be easy and comes with many unforeseen expenses. The needs are many such as: home renovations for modifications to a bathroom, an entrance ramp, medical equipment, home care visits, housecleaning, out-of-pocket medical expenses and miscellaneous bills that they should not have to worry about while focusing on Ruthann's recovery. I am asking that you please open your hearts and wallets to help with their needs. Joey and Ruthann have never asked for anything for themselves but that does not mean that the need is not there. Please help this amazing couple so they can overcome this challenge as quickly as possible and get on with enjoying life as only they know how, wholeheartedly living every moment to its fullest while sharing good times with their friends.
