Last April we began recording "Look A Bird In The Eye", my 1st full length CD.

I am ready to make IT happen - Record my first CD!
Studio start date is April 18th, woohoo!
I am SO excited for the opportunity to get in the studio and record a collection of songs!
Like many musicians, between working to make ends meet and struggling to believe in my own creative value, too much time has flown by. Every year starting anew to find the time & money to make it happen... passion keeps me going, a heartfelt goal for 20+ years.
So NOW, life's handed me one of those ugly bumps in the road we all face now and again. I've decided to take a big leap of faith and turn adversity into opportunity - Jump off my beaten path into the studio!
Next step of the journey is MONEY - it costs a fair amount to make a CD, and I can't quite manage it alone.
I humbly ask for your help and support in reaching my goal, give these songs the life they deserve.
My goal of $3,000 is vastly lower than most recording endeavors, the remaining cost after including what money I have saved and some generous musicians' talent and time**

A little about me & Music:
I'm Ruth Wickenberg. I started playing music as a kid and began writing songs at 17, music is a constant companion and comfort in life. Over the decades, have performed countless times - solo & as a band, festivals & fundraisers, with other bands; avidly supported local music & arts scene during 6 years owning a coffee bar, later hosting open mics and songwriter groups.

Many dozens of songs later, and continuing to write, I've been fortunate to learn that many of my songs have touched people's hearts, lives and even randomly pop into their heads from time to time... the greatest of compliments, honor, joy and inspiration for this songwriter. Throughout the years, with help and support from amazing Austin musical friends, we have managed a hodge podge of recordings of a few of my
songs. All have unique qualities, and most are rough.
The opportunity to create a quality collection of songs has not been within reach before...I am beyond excited to get going, and grateful to each of you for hanging out and reading my story!
